Now, before you start sending me hate mail, Please just listen to me for a second.
I've been seeing quite a few people charging people in order to use their bases, this actually got me thinking if I could get away with something like that. And of course I could.
It wouldn't take much to con someone into that; but SERIOUSLY? I know they're just trying to make points/money off of something they do but come on, that's not what bases are for. I know I probably sound really stupid for saying this but making bases for the purpose of selling them is so wrong on so many levels. I'm not trying to point fingers or blame anyone but this is just so against my morals as a person.
The reason I wanted to make bases when I first started out five years ago, was that I wanted to share them with everyone. Even if they were shitty traces, I didn't really know any better. Because at the end of the day, I was getting comments like 'Hey thanks for the base, I had a fun time dolling, here [LINK]'
And that made my day.
People saying they had fun.
And I know I have fun when I use someone Else's base. I no longer trace and make all my bases from scratch or my own resources, and I know it has helped me improve my drawing and overall 'art' skills, So I want others to use my bases to help them to improve on theirs.
I guess I'm just kind of upset with this because this isn't what I'm used to, and if this becomes a more normal occurrence, I may not want to doll or make bases anymore. It sounds kind of childish, but this is the first time I've dolled in a LONG time; and I left DA for a while here.
I guess at the end of the day, If I can do what I set out to do in the first place, Then I won't feel like I've let myself down.
